Over-the-top action sequences. These scenes have been a staple in Hollywood for years, and they're necessary ingredients for the summer action blockbusters. But with new digital technology have we reached a point where these scenes have become ridiculous and totally unbelievable?

There are countless scenes in "Full Throttle" that completely defy the laws of gravity. I understand that's the point, but many of these scenes are just silly. Watching Demi Moore's character glide through the air like a bird just by spreading her cloth cape really isn't that thrilling. It looks more like a bad cartoon. There were a couple of times during my screening of this film where you could hear a slight groan from the audience instead of the "wows" we might have heard in the past.

Don't get me wrong, "Full Throttle" is entertaining and has some great moments. Also, the tongue-in-cheek attitude makes the action scenes a little easier to take. The lead babes and the rest of the cast are definitely having fun with the material, and the film is loaded with cameos that add to the fun. Crispin Glover is hilarious as the hair-sniffing Thin Man.

There's also plenty of eye candy to satisfy the guys in the audience. The writers and the director find plenty of opportunities to show off the girls, and they shrewdly spend most of their time focused on Cameron Diaz. A new, skinny Demi Moore is a welcome addition to the cast as the villain. The gals are reason enough to catch this one on the big screen.

You can do a lot worse than "Full Throttle" if you're looking for some mindless summer fun. Just turn off your brain and enjoy the jokes and the eye candy.
