"Fun Never Ends" has power chords and haunting lyrics -- "Fun Never Ends/Till You Bury a Friend." "Save Yourself," a ballad, is the best track of all, complete with acoustic guitars, strings and the kind of hooks that transcend time. "Weight of the World" is another good slow tune, but not as memorable. "Here Right Now" sounds a lot like the Foo Fighters while "No Longer Now" has more of a straightforward punk flavor without the teen angst. The second half of this record is not quite as catchy or memorable but if you're the type of person who buys a new CD based on one or two good songs, this one has at least four to lead off the album. There are hints of U2 and Third Eye Blind at times, but mostly Sense Field has their own sound. Again, this can be a curse for radio, but don't let that deter you from buying it. ~Mike Farley mfarley@bullz-eye.com
